Accused gets conditional bail in Kalakshetra case | Chennai News
Following waivers granted by the metropolitan court on June 3, Hari Padman’s lawyers asked the Madras high court on Tuesday to allow them to withdraw their pending bail application.
Noting the application, Judge AD Jagadish Chandira rejected the application because it was withdrawn.
On 3 April, a police team led by female police inspector Adyar Vijayakumari arrested Hari Padman based on a Base student complaints.
He was charged under Sections 509 (anyone, intent on insulting the decency of any woman, saying any word, making any sound or gesture, or showing any object) and 354(A) (physical contact and seduction involving sexual overtures that unsolicited and explicit; or requests or requests for sexual services; or make statements of a sexual nature, guilty of sexual harassment offences) of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Women Harassment (Prevention) Act.
