Bharti Singh, husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa get relief in drug case after court rejects NCB plea for cancellation of bail

There’s relief for comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa after a special NDPS act court rejected the Narcotics Control Bureau‘s (NCB) plea seeking cancellation of their bail in a drug case.
According to PTI, V V Patil, special judge for cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, rejected the plea last week for lack of merit, but the detailed order became available on Tuesday.
After Sushant Singh Rajput‘s demise, several Bollywood and TV actors came under the scanner for drug consumption. Bharti and Haarsh’s name also cropped up during the investigation of a drug peddler.
In November 2020, the couple was arrested by the NCB for alleged possession of 86.5 grams of ganja (cannabis). They were granted bail on a bond of Rs 15000 each. Trouble continued for the two as NCB filed a chargesheet last year.
The court, however, in its order last week said there were no allegations that the couple interfered with administration of justice or violated their bail conditions. Therefore, there were absolutely no grounds made out for cancellation of bail, the judge said, according to PTI.
Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa turned parents to a baby boy last year. The two continue to fulfill their professional commitments along with their personal responsibilities. They have hosted several TV shows together including Khatra Khatra Khatra, Funhit Mein Jaari and Hunarbaaz.
