PM Modi meets US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at White House | India News
US President Joe Biden and the first lady are hosting a state dinner for the Prime Minister. Guest Chef Nina Curtis closely worked with First Lady Jill Biden and White House Executive Chef Cris Comerford, and White House Executive Pastry Chef Susie Morrison to develop the menu for the state dinner.
More than 400 guests have been invited for the dinner at the specially decorated pavilion on the South Lawn of the White House.
Following the dinner, guests will enjoy musical selections from the following performers: Joshua Bell, American Violinist and Conductor. Joshua Bell is a GRAMMY Award-winning violinist, soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and conductor, and currently the Music Director of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.
Earlier today, PM Modi visited the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, along with First Lady Jill Biden, where they interacted with students from both countries who are acquiring skills relevant for them to succeed in the vital industries of their respective economies.
Highlighting the initiatives taken by the Indian government to secure a bright future for students such as implementing the New Education Policy and integrating education and skilling.
The visit also includes an address to the Joint Session of the Congress. PM Modi will address an invitation-only gathering of diaspora leaders from across the country at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington on June 23.
PM Modi arrived in Washington from New York where he led a historic event at the UN Headquarters earlier in the day to commemorate the 9th International Day of Yoga, attended by UN officials, diplomats and prominent personalities.
